Cresta raised $50M in Series B Round led by Sequoia Capital

Cresta is an AI-powered platform that offers real-time support to enable customer service agents to respond to inquiries on calls or in chats. The company has recently raised an amount of $50 million in a series B round of funding. The investment wasn’t a surprise after the year of growth when the revenues quadrupled.  

The San Francisco-based company was launched in 2021 with $21 million in funding. Cresta has amassed an impressive list of clients in a short span, including Adobe, Intuit and Dropbox. The startup has recently introduced a voice to target phone-based sales and contact center teams. It has even integrated Amazon Web Services’ Amazon Connect cloud contact service platform in the same year.

AI has proven to be a fertile ground for companies’ interactions with their customers. Cresta is competing with companies like Uniphore that got a fresh investment of $140 million and Talkdesk that has recently launched a new human-in-the-loop. Cresta shares a common ground with all these companies. However, its main focus is on learning from what the best-performing agents do. This knowledge is then passed to colleagues while nudging them with suggested responses.
